High-Leaded Tin Bronze
CDA 938
SAE 67 78-7-15
ASTM B505
Bunting continuous cast bronze bars of C93800 give superior quality and performance. Continuous
casting achieves a high density grain structure, free of porosity, resulting in a reduction of tool wear and
component rejects.
Solid and cored bars are stocked in 13" increments and 105" lengths and are available in other
lengths and non-standard sizes. Consider bars for use when you need special bearings, bearings for
prototypes, or for emergency repairs.
Typical Properties: (Not to be used for specification purposes.)
Copper 75.00 – 79.00%
Tin 6.30 – 7.50%
Lead 13.00 – 16.00% Physical Properties: Continuous Cast
Tensile Strength PSI: 25,000 min.
Yield Strength PSI: 16,000 min.

C93800 is similar to C93200 but the higher lead content improves the machinability and frictional
properties. C93800 can be used in applications were lubrication may be interrupted without seizing.
Bunting also produces other high-leaded alloys including C93400, C93600, C93700, C93900, C94000,
C94100, C94300, C94400 and C94500.
